This merit badge introduces principles of cooking that can be used both at home or in the outdoors.
Service Description
DATES: Class Length: 1 day for 2hrs We will have more sessions in March to be posted on Feb 16th. Some Merit Badge Requirements must be completed beforehand. Please read below for the prerequisites. Requirement Information: Scouts can complete requirements 1, 2b, 2d, 2e, 3, and 7 during the session. Scouts will complete requirements 2a, 2c, 4, 5, and 6 after the session. IMPORTANT: Prior to registering, the Scout should have a discussion with their unit leader to obtain approval to participate *Please note that this class on zoom is designed to prepare you and provide you with necessary information for completing all requirements for the Cooking Merit Badge. As such, attending the scheduled class on zoom is necessary before work on any requirements have been started (unless you are trying to finish the badge and have a partial blue card already). All cooking and work completed before the class will be disregarded. Blue Card: Upon completion of the Zoom session, Scouts have six months to complete and submit the remainder of the requirements to the online classroom after the session. Once all requirements are marked as complete, we will issue a digital blue card signed by our merit badge counselor.

Cancellation Policy
**Merit Badge Session Policies** To ensure compliance with updated guidelines and maintain the interactive and engaging nature of our merit badge sessions, the following policies will be implemented: 1. Camera-On Policy **Camera Requirement**: - All Scouts must have their cameras on during the entire merit badge session. **No Exceptions**: - If a Scout does not have their camera on or does not have access to a functioning camera, they will not be allowed to participate in the session. **Rescheduling and Fees**: - Parents/guardians will be responsible for rebooking and paying for a new session if their Scout is unable to comply with the camera-on requirement. **Purpose**: - This policy is designed to ensure Scouts actively participate in discussions and meet the interactive standards required for merit badge completion. 2. Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy **Rescheduling or Cancelling a Session**: - To reschedule or cancel a scheduled merit badge session, you must do so at least *4 days in advance* using the app provided at this link: [http://wix.to/38CABtM?ref=cl](http://wix.to/38CABtM?ref=cl). **Late Cancellations**: - Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 4 days before the session will not be accommodated, and you will be responsible for rebooking and paying for a new session.
